This weekend we had a Pony Club meeting here at Hill View Farm Animal Refuge. The ponies were all recent arrivals that I’ve been working with over the past week and the children came from the local village.
The children learned how to approach, groom and lead the ponies. The ponies appeared to really enjoy the attention – quite a different life for them as they were working ponies from the nearby town of Ooty.
It’s just wonderful to see these horses already providing such pleasure and animal welfare education to the local children, especially as they have only been here for such a short time.
